About Us

Back in December 2019 my father in law became very poorly, the last in a long line of illnesses  bravely borne, and it quickly became apparent he would not be recovering. He was living in a residential care home  and although he was loved and cared for by the staff, once the first lockdown was declared in March 2020, we, his family, were unable to see him again. He eventually passed away in May, and sadly we never got to say goodbye to him.  

At the time I didn’t realise memory bears were a “thing”, we had some of dad’s clothes and I thought it would be really nice to make a keepsake from them. Sadly if clothes aren’t worn they can deteriorate and I thought it would be a nice way to preserve part of them.

Once I had finished the first bear I just hugged him, and I thought to myself, this is what it’s all about. I hadn’t been able to hug dad for the last time but I was able to hug the bear, which was an enormous comfort. I then proceeded to make another 4 bears and 3 cushions for the rest of the family. 

At the same time, two friends each lost a loved one, and I made bears, cushions and hearts for them too, and Sweet P Creations was born 🌷🌷🌷

As time has gone on, I have made bears to celebrate not only the lives of loved ones who have passed away, but also I have made bears to celebrate baby’s first birthday using their first clothes; wedding dress bears; birth weight bears and graduation bears. I have also branched out into other keepsakes and my repertoire continues to grow. I can also make memory cushions and blankets.  

Each of my bears and keepsakes are unique, and I am able to add, for an additional fee, some accessories as required, (for example, hats and collars), please feel free to ask.
